What kind of RAM do you buy?

We buy consumer DDR4 and DDR5 memory — desktop DIMMs and laptop SO-DIMMs alike. If the label says DDR4 or DDR5 and the module isn't physically destroyed, it's worth a quote.

We see every major brand: Crucial, Corsair, G.Skill, Kingston, Team Group, ADATA, Patriot, plus the DRAM makers themselves (Samsung, SK Hynix, Micron). Clearing a pallet of server ECC or registered memory? Request a quote anyway and our team will take a look.

What counts as “bad” RAM?

“Bad” is exactly what we want. That includes modules with bad sectors (regions of failing cells), single-bit errors (a bit that occasionally flips during testing), and general instability (random crashes, blue screens, or boots that fail and point at memory). If your sticks throw errors in MemTest86, fall over under load, or only run reliably at reduced speed, they qualify. We re-bin and repair memory in our in-house fab, so faults that make a stick useless to a typical buyer are routine intake for us.

How do I test my RAM, and what should I report?

The most reliable check is MemTest86, a free bootable memory tester. Write it to a USB drive, boot from it, and let it run at least one full pass — more passes catch intermittent faults that a single pass can miss. When you request a quote, tell us the result: pass or fail, roughly how many errors were reported, and which test or address range flagged them if it's shown. Do completely dead sticks qualify?

Often, yes. A module that won't POST or shows no signs of life can still have recoverable or harvestable components, so it's worth quoting — just tell us it's dead when you submit. The only things we generally can't use are physically destroyed modules: snapped PCBs, missing or torn-off chips, heavy corrosion, or fire and liquid damage that compromises the board. How do you decide what to offer?

Every offer is based on the module's current market value and its condition. We reference real market data for your specific DDR4 or DDR5 part, then account for how it tests and its physical state. You'll see an estimated offer instantly for parts we recognize; anything unusual gets a quick manual review and a custom quote by email. Your final offer is always confirmed after free testing in our fab.

Do you pay more for bulk lots?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Larger lots are more efficient for us to test and re-bin, and we pass that efficiency back to you — bulk shipments earn better rates. Recyclers, repair shops, and IT teams clearing out fleets are exactly who we want to hear from. Add every module to a single quote (or note the total quantity) and bulk pricing is applied automatically.

How does shipping work?

It's free. Once you accept a quote we email you a prepaid shipping label. Pack your modules safely — anti-static bags if you have them, snug padding either way — attach the label, and drop the box off. You never pay to ship.

How and when do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

After your package arrives and clears testing in our fab, we confirm the final offer and pay promptly — typically within a couple of business days. Choose your payout when you submit your quote: PayPal, bank transfer, Interac e-Transfer, or store credit.

Question 9

Is there any data on my RAM I should worry about?

Accepted Answer

No. DRAM is volatile memory: it only holds data while it's powered, and the contents vanish within moments of losing power. By the time a module reaches us it carries no recoverable data from your system. You don't need to wipe anything before shipping — there's simply nothing persistent to wipe.

Do you buy from sellers outside the country?

We work with sellers internationally. Submit a quote with your country and postal code, and we'll arrange the right prepaid label and payout method for your location. Larger international lots are especially welcome — reach out through our contact page if you're clearing inventory and want to coordinate the logistics.
