These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of WeBuyBadRAM (the "Service"), available at https://webuybadram.com. By requesting a quote or selling memory to us, you agree to these Terms.
We buy used and faulty DDR4 and DDR5 memory — including modules with bad sectors, errors, or instability — repair and re-bin it, and resell it. We are a buyer of your hardware, not a repair service for memory you keep.
Estimated offers shown on the Service are preliminary and non-binding. They are based on current market value and the condition you report, and they assume your description is accurate. Your final offer is determined only after we receive and test the modules, and it may differ from the estimate. You are free to decline any final offer.
When you accept a quote we provide a prepaid shipping label. You are responsible for packaging the modules safely. Risk of loss passes to us on delivery to our facility; until then, please keep your tracking information. Items that arrive materially different from your description may receive a revised offer.
We test received modules in our facility and confirm a final offer. If you accept, we pay you. If you decline, you may request the modules be returned at your expense, or authorize us to responsibly recycle them. Unclaimed modules may be recycled after a reasonable holding period.
Once you accept a final offer, we pay using the method you selected — such as PayPal, bank transfer, Interac e-Transfer, or store credit — typically within a few business days of confirmation. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to your sale.
By selling to us, you represent and warrant that:
DRAM is volatile and retains no data once powered off, so memory modules carry no recoverable personal data. You remain responsible for any other storage media you mistakenly include in a shipment; we are not liable for data on items sent outside the scope of your quote.
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the Service only for lawful purposes, and not to attempt to defraud, abuse, or interfere with the Service or other users.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service or any transaction is limited to the amount we agreed to pay you for the relevant modules.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The governing jurisdiction is a placeholder pending legal review.
